“He who heeds the word wisely will find good.”
Prov 16:20
There’s a new love in my life. He’s green, with four legs and fourteen toes. He likes to eat toys and swim in bubbles. On any given day, you can find him scaling the wall of my shower, but don’t worry he’s polite and will turn his head if there’s company. Boon Frog Pod: a great invention. How I wished I discovered him eons ago.
I came across a Frog Pod in a friends’ shower. I’ll set the record straight and clarify I wasn’t snooping in Randi’s house; the curtain was open. This Christmas, I thought I’d treat myself and purchase my own green friend. I’m happy I did for my many bathroom mishaps are a thing of the past.
Rubber ducks, sponge balls and water cups littered my bathroom for three years. Toys were tossed into a basket to dry until the next bath. Daily Makayla and Emmalyne tromped into the washroom (usually when I was trying to pee) and dumped the basket. Toys went in and out, in and out and sometimes, I’d surrender and leave them scattered on the floor.
Not anymore, thanks to Frog Pod. Because of Frog Pod my socks will stay dry. Because of Frog Pod, I won’t step on hard plastic toys. Because of Frog Pod I won’t have to clear out the bathtub before showering.
We can learn a lot from those around us. If I never “not snooped” in my friend’s shower, I would still be slipping on squeak toys. Also, today before my workout, Darrell mentioned to switch up my cardio-weights routine. I took his advice and found it decreased muscle stiffness. I enjoyed that regiment better than my original routine.
Being open-minded to wise counsel and having a teachable attitude is profitable (Prov 3:13). No one is perfect and can use advice now and then. We all have different ideas, strengths and experiences that benefit each other’s lives. A fool doesn’t listen, but those who are wise do (Prov 12:15).
Keep your eyes and hearts open.
