When I was younger I believed my grandfather could find anything that was lost. I mean anything. As a little girl, I frequently misplaced my things. After failed attempts of searching in couch cushions, toy boxes or pockets I would petition my grandfather to find the lost item. Sure enough, he’d locate it usually in a place I previously looked.
My two-year-old is obsessed with wearing a multi-coloured necklace. Once out of her crib, she runs to put her necklace on each morning. One day it broke. My husband was able to mend it. Ever since then, any time something brakes, Makayla’s first response is, “Daddy fix it.”
Children have such faith in their parents. Mommy’s kisses can heal my boo-boo. Daddy is super strong. We need to believe like little children do, that our heavenly Father can do all things (Colossians 1:16,17).
I know it’s easier said than done. When I was pregnant with my first daughter, she had a hole in her brain. This meant she would be severely deformed. My husband and I were devastated. It wasn’t easy to trust God, when we had the medical facts. However, through prayer, faith and speaking scripture over my baby bump, she was healed. Makayla is an intelligent, beautiful toddler who believes her Daddy can fix everything.
Our heavenly Father can fix every problem, no matter how big they seem to us. For with God, all things are possible (Mark 10:27).
